Snohomish County authorities have taken a Lynnwood resident into custody following a reported shooting incident at a manufacturing facility in the city on Monday morning.

Probable cause paperwork submitted by the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office indicates that dispatchers received multiple calls regarding the event shortly after 9:45 a.m. Callers reported that an individual had entered the Peregrine Manufacturing location on West 24th Avenue and fired at a staff member. In response, the business implemented a lockdown protocol, which remained in effect until law enforcement confirmed the suspect had departed the immediate vicinity.

The suspect, a 33-year-old man previously employed at the company, was apprehended approximately one mile from the scene. Court records indicate he contacted 911 to report his location for a voluntary surrender.

Interviews with the victim revealed that he was operating a machine when he turned to his left and spotted an individual dressed entirely in black, with a blue bandana covering part of his face. The victim stated that he identified the shooter by voice, noting they had known one another for roughly 16 years. According to the police report, the victim fled upon seeing the man holding a black firearm in his right hand and reported hearing a gunshot immediately afterward.

Jail records show the suspect was processed on a charge of first-degree assault with a deadly weapon. He is currently being held without bond ahead of his initial court appearance scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.
