A Mason County man in his early forties was taken into custody Tuesday as part of a continued probe into online child exploitation, officials said.
Law enforcement detained the individual without incident during the afternoon at his workplace. Detectives later executed a search at his home, retrieving further material related to the case.
Though not yet formally named by the sheriff’s office, booking records indicate the suspect is Wesley L. Robinson, who entered the county jail at 2:38 p.m. He remains in custody, with no set release date at this time.
Court documents show Robinson is facing three Class B felony allegations involving sexual offenses under Washington’s legal code:
- One charge under RCW 9.68A.050(2)(B), concerning the sale or distribution of images depicting minors in sexually explicit activity, classified in the second degree.
- Two counts under RCW 9.68A.070(2)(B), addressing the acquisition and retention of such visual materials, also in the second degree.
Investigators cited substantial findings gathered over the course of their work, forming the basis for probable cause in this ICAC-linked arrest. The investigation is continuing, with more developments anticipated.
Updates are expected as the county prosecutor’s office moves forward with formal charging decisions and additional details emerge from official records.
