VANCOUVER, Wash. A motorcyclist died Tuesday morning after a collision with a vehicle at the intersection of East 37th Street and P Street, according to a news release from the City of Vancouver.
Vancouver police responded at about 10:45 a.m. on Oct. 20 to the report of a crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle, the city said.
The initial investigation indicates the vehicle was traveling westbound on East 37th Street and was in the middle of the intersection when a motorcycle headed southbound on P Street struck the vehicle's rear passenger side, according to police.
The motorcyclist was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries and did not survive, the city said. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment, police said.
The Vancouver Police Department Traffic Unit is continuing to investigate. The city said nothing additional is being released at this time, and its release did not identify the motorcyclist.
