Public Records Released on Commissioner Hiring and Departure

In an effort to maintain open access to government proceedings, public documents obtained concerning the hiring and subsequent termination of a former Family Court Commissioner are now available for review.

The former commissioner’s departure in February left an opening on the bench. That vacancy was subsequently filled by Commissioner Lorraine Rimson.

Records were collected from the county in two separate batches. The first set of materials covers the initial hiring process. The second batch details the circumstances surrounding his departure.

These documents are being published in their entirety as part of an ongoing commitment to government accountability.
